Steve Bell and company (Jon Buller, Roy Salmond, Mike Janzen) are playing to capacity crowds so far in the “Devotion” tour. Having not played together in the past, the band is sounding great; also to note that Kerri Woelke has been exceptional and the response to her new album has been overwhelming.

Here are some comments from people at the shows…
On behalf of my family, I wanted to thank Steve Bell and friends, not only for the wonderful evening they hosted here in Nanaimo, but also for the complimentary tickets they provided to pastors in the city. It is a rare thing for us to be able to attend such an encouraging and enriching event as a family. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
Peace, Michael Maughan

Last night I told you something profound happened. At the time I could not put my finger on it.
This morning it was so obvious to me (even with just 4 hours sleep). What I witnessed last night was about the best revelation I have ever had of how I dream the Trinity must be mutually indwelling. Separate persons, but one. Each taking joy in the other’s artistry; each sharing without reservation their own artistry. The total was so beyond the sum of the parts I could hardly articulate what I felt. But it burst forth in so much creativity and love and joy that the room could not contain it, nor did it feel like it should. It was a fountain, not a cistern. That did not just happen, and as much as God directed it, most times I imagine He just gets depressed how people like me get in the way. But you were a true instrument of His joy and peace last night. This is not greeting card sentiment. I mean that I have rarely experienced God as you revealed Him last night. I love that God. – David Jennings

WOW!! Thanks Steve and the band for an awesome evening at your Regina concert. My wife and 2 sons made it to the concert and we were truly uplifted by the whole expirience. You mention the songs are very singable… and such was our interaction for the evening. - Nathan Natsby

I’m still hearing echoes of your concert last night in Nanaimo as I enjoy the new album. Steve, Dave, and all the band-members, you have a wonderful dynamic that touches people with a taste of the presence of God. – Grant Corriveau

We thoroughly enjoyed the concert in Vernon last night! ! Wow! loved the variety of sounds. We heard you alone in Prince George and I was amazed then at all the music that came out of just you and your guitar. Now with jazz piano and two others it’s awesome – goosebumps. - Marlene Engel

Really enjoyed your music in Saskatoon over the weekend – it’s always a pleasure. – Simon Friesen

You may not remember me… In the 95-96 school year I attended Winkler Bible Institute in Winkler MB. I was in a art/music class taught by Doug Friesen and even sang a song for you which a friend and I co-wrote. I am currently married and living in Fargo, ND. I would love to see you in concert again sometime. Do you forsee any concerts in my area? How would I go about getting you down here?
Steve, I want to thank you for Devotion, it’s an awesome worship album that reminds me of the goodness and the love of God, and gently leads me into His Presence. I was at the show you did in Coquitlam recently (it was awesome too, so much talent) and you talked about becoming an Anglican recently. I attend an Anglican church too and I love the liturgy and the symbolism, and taking communion together. There are times when I am struck by the beauty of the eucharist and I sit and weep as I watch people go forward to kneel before the Lord and receive the bread and wine…Jesus, feed us, feed us, Jesus…
I find that the songs on Devotion loosely follow the order of an Anglican service. Is that intentional? Anyhow, this album is truly anointed and it touches a very deep hunger within me for intimacy with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. May God continue to bless and to use you and your band mates during this tour and beyond.
Steve Bell (and friends) never cease to amaze us!! Each album I think, he’ll not be able to top this one, especially after Symphony Sessions. Yet ‘Devotion’ has become the most listened to in the house. Thank you so much!! The concert in Oshawa was wonderful! Look forward to you returning to Ontario.
