Album Notes
The Loop is a live concert performance album like only Jacob can pull off. Jacob is an absolute master of his craft and this recording documents that fact rather nicely. The song selection is stunning – a couragous mix of Jacob originals and some rather unlikely covers of songs by the likes of Rush, Peter Gabriel, Josh Redman and Kurt Elling. Somehow, Jacob employs all his interpretive skills, guitar prowess and sonorous vocals to bring in an album that is internally integrated, moving and often exhilarating.
