Fundraising auction for Bell tickets heating up

A fundraising auction for the Pennies from Heaven campaign is already up to $800.

Winnipeg Free Press editor Margo Goodhand was quick to start bidding off at $500, but this morning a bid came in for $800.

The fundraiser — which continues until Nov. 28, at noon — offers the highest bidder two seats to see Juno award-winning musician Steve Bell in concert with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra on Nov. 29, a chance to go back stage to meet him, and then have Bell play a concert at the winner’s home.
